shady bard follow and sound out of place. There’s something so toe chewlingly average about this band. Something so…careerist. Like the nu-folk set’s very own Coldplay. They’re so …pro-f**king-fessional. Not a note out of place. Every instrument swap as efficient as a Maria Carey costume change…And the music? Plummy Nick Drake inflections, string parts so anaemic that only an academic would enjoy it.

Music for sexually repressed librarians to drink green tea to whilst leafing through the Guardian Guide and dreaming of a social life.
