As ever shady bard left no stone unturned in adding the small touches to their set from the cosy fairy lights to the homely flowers that adonred the stage. Gigging again as a restored 5 piece after the recruiting of two new members this has brought them back to life in their quest to make moving and mesmerising music that envelopes you in the style of Radiohead and Sigur Ros. Lead singer Lawrence was on form again tonight as a witty and engaging front man as they played personal favourites Bobby, a rousing ballad of a tale of woe, and the gentle These Quiet Times – which is the nearest thing you will ever get to a rock and roll lullaby. You won’t get their limited edition EP Treeology for gold dust or bird seed but the least you can do is keep your eyes peeled for their next gig.
