Subject: Three Songs (demo)
Fragile, but forceful, the messages are gently delivered with remorseless logic and sonic beauty - we have a genuine prospect in the house. Every track is laminated layer on layer on layer and sometimes that means instruments feeding in, sometimes an increase in the attack, sometimes both, and now I worry because shady bard are frankly gorgeous, they seduce your ears, take your brain on a picnic to a sunlit library and gently insert a big one - ‘We’re all to blame’- when you’re not looking. For those of us who find comfort in pigeonholes and certainty in tagging, shady bard are doing late Syd B doing restrained Explosions In The Sky. Look them all up, buy them all up, your and our world will be better places.
